JOB DUTIES
Supervise and oversee the deliverables of a high performing team of data scientists and engineers who will leverage existing machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques as well as statistical analytical tools (like hypothesis testing, statistical inferences etc.), to build out a scalable and accurate forecasting product.
Responsible for the conception, planning, and prioritizing of new product features. Ensure best practices around code structure, scalability, and technical documentation. Gather product feedback directly from the client or through Sales to ensure that customer input is considered during setting the strategic direction for the product and determining the improvements required for the existing features. Work with the Sales, Product and Engineering team to develop product roadmaps, new product features requirements as well as streamlining product development lifecycles. Work with Sales to determine the commercial value of each feature and meet with potential clients to demonstrate the product’s capabilities.
Build a high-performance team based in Headquarters and in our global offshore sites by attracting new talents, and ultimately operate the team to full efficiency. Provide teams members with feedback on performance and can recommend merit-based raises and promotions.
Attend select conferences and deliver presentations to demonstrate the product’s capabilities. Use data analytics in a distributed computing environment in energy utility industry. Remote work/telecommuting is acceptable from anywhere in the U.S. Must be willing to travel to corporate HQ 10% of the time if working remotely/telecommuting.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or any related field with computational or data science specialty.
- Must have 5 years of experience as Data Science Analyst or related.
- Must have 5 years of experience using data analytics in a distributed computing environment in energy utility industry and applying AI & Machine Learning data analytic techniques to build scalable energy analytics platform using SQL and Python.
- Must have 2 years of experience with: working with an Agile Team; building an enterprise software product; managing load forecasting
performance, tune model parameters, test model results, share the results with internal and external stakeholders and work with IT team to update codes; and supervising IT professionals. - Remote work/telecommuting is acceptable from anywhere in the U.S.
- Must be willing to travel to corporate HQ 10% of the time if working remotely/telecommuting.
